CAMP events in the Midwest
After reviewing our Southern and Western events over the past couple of weeks, it is time to do a deepdive on the events in the Midwest, CAMP’s original home turf (click here for our complete 2024 schedule).
This year we have 5 motocamping events in the Midwest plus a canoe camping event, for a total of 6 events. Let’s have a look at them.
On May 17-19 we will kick off our Midwestern season with our Door County S’more. This is a new destinations for us, and one that was requested by a large majority of members when we run our poll last Fall. This S’more is only $45 per person, and it is filling up nicely, so act fast! More info here.
The week after, on May 22-27, we will have our Trans Wisconsin Adventure Ride. This is a dual sport ride that many consider a good shakedown before you head out to more demanding dual sport Backcountry Discovery Routes. We will be camping every night in a different place, while we ride our 600+ miles from Illinois all the way to the shores of Lake Superior. More info here - again, act fast, because we have a cap on participants for this ride.
On June 6-9 we will have our CAMP UP Rally, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Although this is a location we have already been to in the past, the format of the event will be a first, with tons of fun activities like timed events (including food related…) and opportunities to ride both paved and unpaved. All info here.
On August 30-September 4 we will have our Lake Michigan Circle Motocamping Ride. We will ride the 1,000 plus miles around Lake Michigan and along the shores of Lake Superior, camping every night in a different location. All info and sign up here.
On September 8-13 we have our interloper: CAMP’s first canoe camping trip to Minnesota’s Boundary Canoe Waters. This event does not require you to even own a motorcycle: it is a journey through some of the most remotes areas of the United States, aboard of canoes. Info and sign up here.
On October 25-27 we will have our final motocamping event of the year, our Halloween S’more in the Northern woods of Wisconsin. All info and sign up here.
