This is what you told me you want CAMP to do in 2025

Earlier in the summer, I sent out a poll to everybody on CAMP’s mailing list (members and non members) asking for input about the 2025 season: where should CAMP go next year, what activities we should focus on and so forth. Below are some of the key results. Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the poll: you helped me prioritize activities for 2025.

And speaking of…our 2025 calendar is almost 100% completed, and it will be released to everyone on November 1st. You will be able to renew your CAMP membership/join CAMP for 2025 as of October 1st. Those who renew/join between October 1st-31st will have the schedule in advance. I will come back to this in a couple of weeks. But now, without further ado, let’s have a look at what you told me you wanted to do next year, in 2025.

Paved vs off road

The vast majority of CAMP members (58%) is interested in both paved and unpaved motocamping events, with 30% only interested in paved and 12% only interested in dual sport/off road. This split is stable from last year. The good news is that 2025 will offer plenty of events catering to everyone.

Location, Location, Location…

When asked which of this year’s motocamping locations we should keep on the schedule for 2025, Door County in Wisconsin was the clear winner, followed by the Black River Forest, also in Wisconsin. Good news - both locations are in the 2025 schedule (but if you are itching to go to the Black River Forest, you can also join us there next month for our Halloween S’more).

When asked about new locations in the Midwest area, there wasn’t a clear winner, with several locations getting the same amounts of votes. But I can tell you that one of the most voted options will be on the schedule.

In 2024 we organized four off road motocamping rides (Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail Ride, a Colorado BDR, a Black Hills BDR and the upcoming Mid Atlantic BDR). We asked you where you wanted to off road next year, and the Smokey 500 was the clear winner, followed by the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail and the Utah BDR. Stay tuned - some of these are on the agenda for next year.

In terms of long distance event (long distance in relation to the Midwest, where the vast majority of our members reside), respondents indicated the Ozarks as their No. 1 priority. Good news - we will be going there in August, for a paved/unpaved event, mixing some of the best local paved roads with some sections of the Trans Atlantic Trail.

The Next Steps

2025 CAMP schedule will be released to everyone on November 1st. Those who will renew their CAMP membership between October 1s-31st will get the schedule in advance and will be able to book all events immediately.

Stay tuned!
