CAMP SMOKEY 500 RIDE - October 16-18
WHAT AND WHEN
Join us for CAMP Smokey 500 ride on October 16-18 - Three days of riding off road and motocamping in the Smoky Mountains. 15 riders max.
The Smokey 500 (spelling is intentional) is a 500ish mile long loop in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, mostly off-road (approximately 70% of the route). It is divided in three sections, color coded (see photo here), and is usually ridden in three days, one section per day.
The route can be ridden on big adventure bikes, but it requires off road tires and some skills. It definitely isn't a route you should try if this is your first foray into off-roading. There are rocks, water crossings, dirt and gravel, even if the vast majority of the route is relatively easy.
This ride will be immediately followed by CAMP Smoky S’more (October 19-22), which focuses on paved roads in the area. Book them both and make it a combo.
We will send every attendants plenty of information, the GPX files and everything you need to know about the ride.
