Off Road Training with Heavy Enduro

  • Cliff's Insane Terrain 2681 U.S. 6 Marseilles, IL, 61341 United States (map)

We are super excited to announce another CAMP - The Motocamping Club exclusive off road training day with our friend from Heavy Enduro: Saturday, July 9th, 2022.

This is a one day training, with 3 available spots, CAMP members only, first come first serve. The CAMP rate is only $250 per person vs the standard price of $300 (a big thanks to Andy and Susan from Heavy Enduro).

To book your spot, send us an email or contact us via this form and we will tell you how to pay for the training (you will be paying Heavy Enduro directly).

Please note this is a training you are taking on YOUR bike, and there are some requirements (listed below). If you don't have an adventure bike, but you would like to take the training, you can rent a Royal Enfield Himalayan for $200/day.

Finally: if you would like to join this exclusive CAMP training and you are not a CAMP member, that's easy to fix: join CAMP. The CAMP membership is only $40 a year and it gives you access to discounts with many companies, worth hundreds of dollars. The Heavy Enduro discount alone is more than our membership...

Below you will find some info that Heavy Enduro had sent to CAMP participants last year.

What and where

A full day of training with Andy Janik and Susan Seo of Heavy Enduro at The Cliffs Insane Terrain, located at 2681 US-6, Marseilles, IL 61341. This is 75 miles from Chicago.

How much does it cost?

For a group of 4-6 people, the cost is $250 per person a day.

Included in that fee is access to the park and private areas of the park.

Logistics and schedule

Arrival time is 9 am sharp. Check in at Cliffs, sign the paperwork and get an Illinois OHV sticker if you do not have one. The goal is to be suited up unloaded and ready to ride by 9,30am. Riding time varies by rider experience and comfort level. We expect to finish around 2pm and then take able riders around the park to use the new skills in real time until 4 pm. The park closes and we must be out by 5pm.

Food and bathroom
The park has bathrooms and a small kitchen on site that has normal burgers and such. People can bring their own food or purchase food from the park. We would like to get food orders in the am so it is ready by lunch. They do not have a vegetarian menu.

What bike and gear should I bring ?

You need to be on an off road or adventure bike. If you have one, you know it. This is a training you are taking on YOUR motorcycle. So you should be comfortable with the idea that you might be falling.

Please note: Andy recommends that you have 50/50 tires. If you don't have 50/50 tires, you must at the very least have 70/30 tires. However, please note that Andy may decide NOT to take you on some of the trails or on some of the exercises if you show up with 70/30 tires, based on the conditions of the terrain. It will be his decision, and you need to be ok with it. Tires are cheap insurance against a fall: if you are wondering whether to mount 50/50 or not, you probably should.

All riders MUST have the following.
- Recent motorcycle helmet
- dirt bike helmet AND goggles or
- dual sport helmet, visor must stay closed or have goggles or safety glasses or
- street helmet, visor must stay closed or have goggles or safety glasses
- long pants preferably riding pants with armor
- Long sleeve shirt or jacket preferably with armor
- dirt bike or adventure boots
- dirtbike style or Adv style gloves
- a good attitude and willingness to learn
